Nina Atalor enrolled as an advocate and solicitor in 2007, and has about 15 years of experience in corporate, transactional, and commercial law practice, providing legal services and support to enterprises through contract drafting, real estate and other acquisitions, as well as intellectual property affairs. She brings to bear her experience in leading solution-driven approaches to the needs of clients cutting across various fields of human endeavor.
With special skills in matters involving capital market operations, commercial transactions, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, Islamic financing etc, she has also, over the years, successfully represented high net worth clients in litigation, including but not limited to civil, commercial, criminal, and election petitions, in all cadre of courts in Nigeria, as well as in arbitral proceedings.
Nina is a certified Capital Market solicitor and compliance officer, as well as a seasoned transactions’ advisor, employing her skills in drafting and analyzing commercial agreements, including Joint Venture Agreements, Public/Private Partnership Agreements, Loan Facility Agreement, and Construction Contracts. She is also a practitioner of Alternative Dispute Resolution and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK)and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Nigeria (ICSAN). Nina is also experienced in international development issues and serves as an independent consultant to the ECOWAS Mission in Abuja. She is also a Consultant with Mothergold Ltd, an international development consulting firm as a Legal and Institutional Reform specialist and adviser.
Prior to joining us, Nina served as Senior Associate at the Metropolitan Law Firm Abuja providing legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of issues, including business law, tax law, company law, estate planning, and family law. While at Ahmed Raji & Co, she was involved in offering a wide range of legal services including drafting of legal documents such as Wills, Deeds, Patent applications, Mortgages, Leases and Business contracts.
Nina obtained her bachelor’s degree from the prestigious University of Benin and is currently undertaking a Master of Laws program on Taxation Law and Policy at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
